Duties and Responsibilities

As Food & Beverage Trainer, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver structured F&B training programs covering service standards, product knowledge, SOPs, grooming, guest engagement, upselling, and operational procedures for all F&B Hosts.
  • Conduct regular coaching, on-the-job training, briefings, and refresher sessions to continuously enhance Host knowledge, skills, confidence, and service delivery.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Six Senses standards, guidelines, and philosophy, consistently embedding the brand’s service culture and standards into daily F&B operations.
  • Drive LQA standards and service excellence by reviewing LQA results, guest comments, feedback, and operational observations, and translating identified gaps into targeted training and coaching initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate Host performance, identify individual and departmental development needs, and work closely with F&B leadership to establish appropriate training and performance improvement plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all F&B outlets, menus, food and beverage offerings, opening hours, service procedures, menu pricing, and upselling techniques, ensuring training content remains accurate and relevant.
  • Conduct regular service observations and training assessments to ensure consistent execution of mise-en-place, service sequence, guest interaction, cleanliness, equipment handling, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with F&B leadership and HR/L&D to prepare the annual and monthly training calendar, induction plans, departmental training needs analysis, and development initiatives for the F&B team.
  • Use guest feedback, LQA results, training evaluations, and performance benchmarks to measure training effectiveness, ensuring performance standards are consistently maintained and exceeded.
  • Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
  • Foster a positive, empathetic, and learning-focused culture within F&B, encouraging continuous improvement, ownership, teamwork, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional and personalized guest experiences.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Food & Beverage Trainer, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 4–5 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, training, or a similar role within a full-service restaurant or luxury hospitality setting. A hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
