What you’ll do:
Eaton announced, on June 11, 20206, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
The Engineering Manager - Test Lab is responsible for driving the overall safety, performance, day-to-day operations and deployment of test Lab strategic goals for eMobility test cells of Mobility business. The primary function of this role is to establish eMobility lab processes, best practices, and expertise to drive cultural excellence in each technical area.
A. Establish eMobility lab processes by leveraging current best practices at global lab locations by coordination with Test lab leaders for managing test lab operations.
B. Leverages state of the art tools, methods and processes to create General test systems across the test labs for specific product line testing.
C. Operates and drives a high performance & safety culture across the assembly, testing, product teams and facilities groups.
D. Manages day-to-day test lab operations in achieving Test Lab performance metrics related to Safety, Utilization, On Time delivery, FPY etc.
E. Integrate with program/project teams to ensure alignment. Drives resource decisions to support program/project needs.
F. Deployment of Test lab strategic goals related to building end-to-end organizational capabilities in terms of people & test infrastructure around strategic focus areas.
G. Manage Test Lab budget for capital expenditure and operational expenses. Creates a yearly budget forecast, monitors spending on a continuous basis and provides monthly adjustments to the forecast.
H. Ensures testing and assembly labs are compliant with all Eaton and local/global Industry standards (MESH, EHS, TS, OSHA, ISO, IEC, UL etc.) with supporting documentation and internal/external audits as applicable.
I. Performs GEMBA Walks and 5S duties, including managing resolution to findings.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in industry (manufacturing/ engineering, test environment, etc.)
Skills:
• Must be results-oriented and highly adaptable
• Ability to achieve results in a matrix environment
• Ability to influence outside of a direct reporting relationship
• Ability to balance between delegation and a hands-on approach with critical assignments
• Supportive team player in a corporate environment
• Familiarity with ISO/QS/AS/OSHA standards & certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in testing Power Electronics Electro-Mechanical (Inverter, Power Distribution & Circuit Protection, DC DC converter) components and systems
• Experience related to prototyping, Teardown-benchmarking & Instrumentation using advanced method/tools like Additive manufacturing, 3D scanning etc.
• Advanced degree in Engineering
