Aditya Birla Building Management and Building Security
Job Purpose
To supervise security operations across the two Siemens-occupied office floors, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, leadership teams, information, and company assets. The role is responsible for coordinating with the building management team on matters related to common areas, parking facilities, building access, and base-building security services.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations Management
- Supervise security guards, duty rosters, and deployment schedules.
- Ensure discipline, grooming standards, alertness, and compliance with security procedures.
- Conduct shift briefings, inspections, and proper handovers between shifts.
- Review daily logs, incident reports, emails, and pending security actions.
- Manage employee, visitor, contractor, and vendor access controls.
- Prevent unauthorized entry, tailgating, and misuse of access cards.
- Monitor CCTV systems, access control systems, fire panels, alarms, and building management systems (BMS), where applicable.
- Report security system defects and ensure timely follow-up actions.
Incident & Emergency Management
- Respond promptly to thefts, fire incidents, medical emergencies, accidents, and suspicious activities.
- Escalate security incidents as per defined protocols.
- Act as the floor-level security coordinator during emergency situations.
- Support evacuation procedures, floor clearance activities, and assembly point coordination.
- Conduct preliminary investigations and preserve CCTV footage or other relevant evidence.
- Prepare and submit factual verbal and written incident reports.
VIP & Leadership Security
- Coordinate and manage visits of VIPs, directors, international delegates, and senior management.
- Ensure movements are handled professionally, securely, and discreetly.
Building Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate with Aditya Birla Building Management regarding common areas, lifts, parking facilities, entrances, fire systems, and building-level incidents.
- Liaise with government authorities, police, fire brigade, and other external agencies as per approved escalation procedures.
- Verify movement of laptops, equipment, materials, parcels, couriers, and company assets against approved documentation.
- Maintain key control systems, access card records, parking records, and lost-and-found registers.
- Monitor and regulate after-hours, weekend, and holiday access.
- Escalate any unauthorized presence or deviations from approved access permissions.
- Coordinate security arrangements for employee events, leadership visits, media activities, photoshoots, and special programs.
- Train and mentor security personnel on:
- Firefighting procedures
- Medical emergency response
- Evacuation processes
- Access control procedures
- Incident handling
- Professional conduct
- Maintain security documentation, including:
- DSOR
- SIVAR
- Occurrence Registers
- Visitor Registers
- Access Records
- Material Movement Records
- Training Records
- Support internal audits, compliance checks, and LiC rounds.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Ex-serviceman, preferably at Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) level.
- Relevant supervisory experience in security operations.
- Prior experience in corporate office security or multi-tenant commercial buildings.
