Meet Our Team

We are the Global SOC team, part of Enterprise Information Security at Hitachi Digital. Our mission is to protect the company's and its customers' vital information systems and data while responding to attacks, intrusions, and other security incidents. What You’ll Be Doing

As a Security Engineer, you will be working as an individual contributor to work with a dynamic team of Threat hunters working 24x7. Your role will include:

  • Monitor and triage security alerts from SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, and Proxy solutions.

  • Investigate, respond to, and report security incidents, including malware-related threats.

  • Perform threat hunting activities across enterprise environments to identify suspicious or malicious behaviors.

  • Analyze security logs, events, and telemetry data to detect attacks and security anomalies.

  • Support incident containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis activities.

  • Conduct email security investigations, including phishing and suspicious email analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve detection and response capabilities.

  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and SOC use-case enhancements.

  • Share knowledge, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to continuous team learning.

  • Stay current with emerging threats, attack techniques, and security technologies.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 2-4 years of experience working in a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.

  • Hands-on experience in Incident Response, Incident Management, and Security Monitoring.

  • Experience handling and investigating SIEM, EDR, DLP, and email security alerts.

  • Good understanding of MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Threat Hunting, and Digital Forensics.

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, LDAP, and related protocols.

  • Experience working with Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, and Server platforms.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced security operations environment.
