Software Engineer – SD-WAN/SASE Platform Development
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our SD-WAN/SASE engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of high-performance networking software that powers next-generation secure connectivity solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong programming skills in C/C++, solid Linux systems expertise, and experience developing real-time, multi-threaded applications on multi-core platforms. You should be comfortable working within a large and complex codebase, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and solving challenging performance and scalability problems.
Candidates with a strong background in software performance engineering, packet processing, and networking technologies are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the engineering team, you will design, develop, and enhance data plane subsystems and platform capabilities in areas including:
• High-performance packet processing using DPDK
• Network interface controller (NIC) drivers and device management
• Link, tunnel, and flow management frameworks
• Observability, diagnostics, and debugging infrastructure
• Development of tools for live troubleshooting and field system triage
• Performance optimization, scalability, and reliability improvements for networking software
• Design and implementation of software components supporting SD-WAN and SASE platforms
• Collaboration with architects, QA engineers, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong programming skills in C and/or C++
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
• Hands-on experience developing and debugging applications in Linux environments
• Strong understanding of operating system concepts, including processes, threads, memory management, and synchronization
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience developing real-time, multi-threaded applications on multi-core systems
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing and packet forwarding
• Experience with software performance analysis, profiling, and optimization
• Familiarity with packet processing frameworks such as DPDK
• Experience building observability, monitoring, or troubleshooting tools
• Exposure to SD-WAN, SASE, network security, or cloud networking technologies
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or similar platforms
