Job Description

This Senior System Engineer will have a strong background in system architecture and requirements partitioning, with a proven track record of making critical architectural decisions that drive project success. This role will involve collaborating with external customer and internal cross-functional teams to define system requirements, develop architectural concepts, and ensure the successful integration of various system components (e.g. Suspension system components).

This role will involve collaborating with external customer and internal cross-functional teams to define system requirements, develop architectural concepts, and ensure the successful integration of various system components (e.g. Suspension system components).

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Requirements Analysis and Partitioning:

    1. Collaborate with OEM and Tier1 customers in early product innovation phase to elicit system requirement including understand whole Intelligent Cockpit system architecture and analysis the concept impact to Bosch drive system.
    2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define system requirements. Delivering system evaluation for decision of requirement confirmation by Model Based Engineering.
    3. Partition system requirements into manageable components by buildup physical system modeling and select system concept accordingly. Ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the development process by implementing ALM tool system.
    4. Develop and maintain requirement specifications that reflect stakeholder needs and system capabilities.
    5. Having system overview to evaluate requirement fulfillment by integrate the Drive unit into whole Intelligent Cockpit system, further convince OEM and Tier1 about the evaluation result.
  2. System Architecture Development:

  3. Lead the design and development of system architecture for drive systems, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards by following Bosch BBM process.

  4. Derive function list for Intelligent Cockpit Drive System and further to sub-system domain level function list by using MBSE methodology.

  5. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and methodologies to support system architecture decisions by select and conduct proper type of system modeling simulation.

  6. Negotiate with customer to get overall optimized system concept including system control strategy.

  7. Create and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, specifications, and design rationale in ALM system.

  8. Customer and RB Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    1. Leading the technical discussion with customers, guide OEM and Tier1 in system design.
    2. Work closely with hardware, software, and testing teams to ensure seamless integration of system components by using ALM system.
    3. Facilitate communication between engineering teams to ensure alignment on architectural decisions and requirements.
    4. Lead technical problem-solving during development phase, guide team to find the root cause and define counter measure systematically.
    5. Participate in design reviews of sub-domains (e.g. gear system, motor, HW and SW) and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to architectural principles.

Additional note: Travelling is expected according to project needs.

Qualifications

  1. Excellent knowledge with Automotive System development methodology (V model development)

  2. Excellent knowledge on model-based system engineering and associate tool environment

  3. Good knowledge on system architecture buildup and decomposition till components level

  4. More than 5 years working experience in automotive Door system or Cockpit system development.

  5. Excellent English skills and capable to interact and explain e.g. from Germany to CN local team.
