Job Description
Position Overview
The Junior QA/QC Engineer shall report to the Sr. QA/QC Manager and be responsible for monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities within the assigned discipline for airport infrastructure projects, including terminal buildings, airside works, landside infrastructure, utilities, airport systems, support facilities, interiors, and finishes. The role involves conducting inspections, witnessing tests, verifying materials and workmanship, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Quality Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions.
- Monitor construction quality through site inspections, surveillance activities, and compliance checks.
- Verify materials, workmanship, installations, and completed works against approved specifications and quality requirements.
- Witness inspections, factory tests, site tests, commissioning activities, and acceptance procedures.
- Identify, record, and track NCRs, observations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Review material approvals, test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, laboratories, and site teams on quality-related issues.
- Monitor testing, commissioning, snagging, defect rectification, and handover quality activities.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, checklists, test reports, and associated documentation.
- Identify quality risks and support implementation of corrective and improvement measures.
- Prepare quality status reports, inspection summaries, and QA/QC updates for the Sr. QA/QC Manager.
- Support internal audits, quality reviews, and compliance assessments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant Engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- Overall 5-10 years of experience in QA/QC, construction quality management, or construction supervision.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airport and aviation infrastructure projects is essential.
- Experience in quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality documentation within the relevant discipline.
- Experience working with PMC Consultants, EPC Contractors, Airport Operators, Consultants, or Client-side project teams.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), ITPs, Method Statements, Inspection Procedures, and Material Testing requirements.
- Knowledge of DGCA, ICAO, IS Codes, NBC, IEC, NFPA, or other applicable standards relevant to the discipline.
